Rear brake pad came unseated?!?! 700 1989

Hello all,

I have just noticed an odd problem with a rear brake pad on my '89 744T. I had been hearing a sort of rubbing noise coming from the right rear- almost a scraping, but it was coming in short intervals. Well, I took a look back there and only half of the disc had brake wear marks. The other half was covered with a light coat of rust, because the pad was not making contact there! I could see that the pad had come unseated, it had slid out of the caliper and was leaning up against the center hub of the rotor.

THe question is, is this a simple take apart and put back together job, or have the clips and/or other parts fallen out, and need to be purchased. This is my only transport, so I would want all parts in hand before I begin the job.

Thanks all in advance!

Terrence
