keyless entry 700 1988

I was hoping to install keyless entry into my 88 745 (w/power locks). I took the pass side door panel off and saw the black actuator(?)on the bottom right. I have not looked behind the drivers door yet. My friend installed a identical system in his 325 es BMW '89 which also had power locks. So, I am curious as to whether or not this will work or if i need to purchase an acuator for the drivers door..or is there a lock controller under the dash that i can tap into? Any info will be greatly appreaciated..
