Replace Rod Bearings While I'm At It? 200 1990

The bottom end on your B230 engine is good for hundreds of thousands of miles (the top as well for that matter). Why would you want to replace them? Curious why the pan is coming off??? I can think of a reason not to replace them... A waste of your money and time.
