960 cooling cooling cooling 900 1995

Well,my 960 has me tottally frustrated. I'm loosing antifreeze like crazy, lookiing under the car there is a line of it along the bottom edge 0f the transmision pan, heater hoses are new and using a mirror the sending unit looks absolutley clean. what I can't see to well is the steel heater hose connection on the block, looks like a bear to put a wrench on. My question- is there an O ring at this connection- could it be a soft plug. If I have the infamous porosity problem were exactly would I see that. To top it off my wife is out of town and now I have DISHPAN HANDS!! Dave Wright
