Warning lights when accelerating 200 1986

It's your wiring harness, I'm almost sure of it. You should see the one in MY '86... that's another story! Pay close attention to the small red wire going to the back of the alternator. Chances are it's grounding out.
Pull off your bottom splash shield to make certain it's safe and insulated all the way under the front pulleys. Good luck- these harnesses are just decomposing pieces of crap. They *ONLY* last 15 years. If the engines were as good as GM cars, we'd never find out about wiring problems....
