200 Series Tachometer swap 200

Well I was at my usual Volvo mechanic's and I brought up the fact that I was looking for a 200 series tach to swap with the large clock and she just gave me a whole used instrument cluster complete with a tach. However, it is from a 740. The tach looks the same size as the large clock, and since the engines are similar I assume I should be able to use the 700 series tachometer in my 240. Can anyone confirm this? Thanks.
