740 GLE Sudden engine failure No Restart HELP!!!! 700

Ok I'll do my best to inform you of my situation.

On the way to work last monday my 1988 740 GLE was experiencing sudden intermittent Misses and then about 15 minutes later it just quit on me and I pulled over. At first thought I assumed fuel but I still had a 1/4 of a tank, and when I tried to restart I couldn't hear the main fuel pump kick in so I quickly assumed that is was feul related. I had the car towed to my workplace (A ford dealer) and after work that day proceeded to test it. It was then that I noticed that the #1 fuse was burnt out replaced the fuse turned on the car to start it and it blew the fuse again. At this point I put the car on the hoist and disconnected the main fuel pump and tried to restart again blew #1 fuse. Disconnected the ECU and tried to restart no blown fuse. Reconnected the ECU unplugged the realy No burnt fuse. And I put the car out after that and worked on it again on friday finally I've got it to stop burning fuses some how I played around with the Engine harness connectors on the RF behind the wheel well and the wires by the power stage. swapped power stages and coil's with my other 740 GLE as well as computers, no more blown fuses but I still have no spark that no spark has been the problem all along I guess one of the other mechanic said that no spark will feel like no fuel as well. I'm looking for any information that can help me get it running agian.

Thanks, for looking

Shawn T
