Problem with direction-indicator 200

Hi!

I bought a 1980 242DL some months ago.
When I bought it, the direction-indicators didnt work, and the seller told me it was bad fuses. I tried swapping the fuses, but nothing happend.

The problem was then, that when I turned the blinkers on, they didnt respond. There was no relay click sounds. I then tried plugging in the emergency direction-indicator switch (the button you press so all the direction-indicators flash). When I pressed this switch, there was no sign of life either, but then I noticed that this switch was defect. It was broken inside. This made me assume it was only my direction-indicator switch (left side of the steering wheel) and the emergency direction-indicator switch that was broken.

A week passed, before I had time to replace the emergency direction-indicator switch. I then replaced it, but to my suprisement:
When the switch is off, it blinks in double speed.
When the switch is on, it blinks in normal speed.

There is still no life in the direction-indicator switch by the steering wheel.

Untill I have this problem fixed, I cannot put plates on my car :/

I have one theory left; Can it be the relay?
I hope someone has any experience with similar problems.

Thank you,
Olav Alexander Mjelde
