'95 945 Turbo - Funny shaking when idle 900 1995

Hi

My '95 945T is a pure joy to own. The only thing is, when idling, the whole
car shakes so violently that I'm jumping around in the seat (I might be excaggurating a bit, but it feels weird :). It idles around the normal 750rpm, and when I hold my foot on the brake and move the stick from "neutral" up to "reverse" or down to "drive", the rmps drop to around 500 and the shaking gets more violent. (the rpms even out after a short while, to a little lower than 750)

Now, I'm thinking this has to do with a change of fuel-type. It has always run on unleaded 95-octane, but two weeks ago we got 92-octane in the pumps here (norway), and the 940 can, I have been notified, run fine on 91-octane and up.

My wife insists that the shaking was there before we switched to 92-octane, but I don't agree :). I will try filling it up with 95 tomorrow, to see if something happens, but I thought I would give it a go here after all, as this has always been my number-one problem solver. (Plus the Haynes-manual, of course :)

Oh, by the way, about the heading, "Funny shaking when idle", I wrote funny both because it's mysterious AND because it's quite fun sitting in the car and being tossed around like that :) (Again, I'm making it sound a bit worse than it is, I guess :)

Regards,

Vegar Johansen
