process for hooking sub

You should use the line outputs on your head unit and first go to the crossover then amp then use the speaker outputs from the amp to the sub. Set the crossover lowpass at about 80 to filter out frequencies above that. If you have a brand new amp it is quite possible that a crossover is built in, so you might not need the external one.

In my 240 sedans I put the sub on the side, firing towards the other side. We found we liked the way it sounds that way. Also, I use a sealed (not ported) box for "tighter" bass response, I'm too old for boomy.
