Sqealing Brakes 200 1985

My wife's new 245 DL had a terrible squeal in the rear brakes and since it is minus 20 celcius here , I decided to winterize the beast. Left rear pads 50%...replaced them. Right rear...50% and A FROZEN piston in the caliper. No wonder there was a squeal! Like most backyarders I started the work too late to get a new caliper, so after tons of panther piss and a couple of good sqeezes with a C clamp. Voila! Caliper and piston are good as new.
Moral: check for a frozen piston if you are hunting a brake squeal.
