1978 244 Fuel Problem? 200 1978

78 240

Got it, believe it or not, with 8,750 original miles.
Changed all the rubber including vacuum hoses. Ran
good for about 1,500 miles then I had to do the
following.
Adjust the valves
Rotor cap rotor wires plugs
Replaced fuel pump twice
Ran good for another 1000 miles or so then had to go
through the entire fuel system.
Replaced – jets – both fuel pumps – had tank acid
washed – blew out fuel lines – rebuilt fuel distributor.

Now after only about 300 miles my fuel pump is buzzing
again. At low RPM I think the fuel distributor is
making a high pitched noise. The car starts right away
but runs rough for about 15 – 30 seconds.

Help! Any suggestion. I love the car.

Thanks in advance
Bernie (real name)
