Not sure if I need it....but I have enough money for the engine rebuild kit from the ipd website...and I would definatly start to get technical with my car...I have a 240 dl wagon 87 and it has 175 k miles on it. My engine is fine and it runs perfect, but I would like to know if rebuilding the engine at this time would insure that this car would last me throughout college and grad school. I plan on going to med school...and It's junior year so I'm going to have to live on ramen noddles and this car for a while. should I wait and see if a problem arrises or change now?

Another question. If i decide to change it...would my car be temporary disabled? Would this take a long time to rebuild? I included a link that has a list of all the items that would be replaced/fixed. Would you recommend me to rent a car? thanks alot.
