245ti k-jet problems 200

Hi I have recently been having trouble starting my car after it has sit for a couple of hours. The car car will start with the help of the gass pedal but the I need to keep the gas on for about 15 seconds or it will die. Also whenI start driving it has poor sluggish response. As I drive it for a bout 15 min it works fine with good response. I was reading the bently manual and read about clogged fuel injectors and it sounded like my problem. It was talking about a type off clogging that forms when it is cold and goes away when it is warm.

I have replaced the intank fuel pump and that didn't help the problem. I was wondering if there is anything I can do by myself to fix this. I really don't want to pay a shop to do it. Please help me find whats wrong and what I can do to fix it. I have also heard that maybe it is a thermal time switch. What is that and do you think this could be the problem? Thanks you guys for all your help you have saved me thousands in repair cost.
