Seeking alignment knowledge 200 1981

Morgen,

Am about to replace balljoints on an '81 244GL and as p.o. gave us new strut carts (MONROE "gas", are they any good?) in box, am considering going further.

Skipped to end of Haynes chapter on front susp, "alignment". Camber adjustment is possible but how is it done? They tell us about toe-in, done via inner tie-rod position but how 'bout CAMBER?

Have never done struts on any kar before, doesn't seem rocket science but am concerned that shims or something Haynes doesn't mention may have to be monkeyed with when doing this job. Local yokel mechs. aren't exactly experts on Volvo. Plus money is tight.

Thanks for any advice.

Frank
