Hey Bricksters,
Like I said it's an 82 242 GLT with 122,000 km (78,000 miles), has air that blows cold, sunroof, new brakes, tires, 75% original silver paint w/black pinstripe and it has that magical Canadian B23E K-cammed motor that runs almost new. The best part is, IT'S ONLY 250 BUCKS CDN$!!!!(160 USD) I consider this to be the find of the new millenium. Some old guy doesn't want to fix the steering balance valve, 50 bucks, and doesn't want to fix the paint, maybe 1500 at the outside for overkill. I'm going to put it in storage at my brother-in-law's for tje winter and start work on it in the spring. Plus he always has a few beers for me should I want to come up to start it and rip around the way with it.
The guy I was talking to last week with the '84 244TiA and the '79 242 GT wanted 2500 and 3000 respectively. What a nutcase. He can keep those 2 cars and junk them for all I care.
Anybody who has any suggestions on what I should start saving up to do with this little gem.... BE MY GUEST!!!
