Hood adjustment 200

Bricks,

I was wondering if I can get some advice on adjusting the hood fit on my '87
240.

The original problem was that the hood hinges got dry, which made the hood hard to open and close. After I lubed the hinges, I noticed that the rear of the
hood sat up too high--that is, it was 1/4" or so above the level of the body.
(Evidently lowering the hood with dry hinges "jacked" the rear of the hood up.)

I lowered the rear of the hood as much as possible (to the maximum allowed by the adjusting slots on the hood hinge bolts) but the rear of the hood still sits up too high. Front height, and fore to aft and side to side fit are OK.

Any help appreciated,

Dave S.
