Front doors loose(due to rust)What is your solution? 200 1981

This 240-1981 has original paint and is in good shape. It is
290k miles but runs still well.

The only problem is the front doors are loose due to rust near
the firewall pillar. The cause may be a winshield or roof drain leak.
Top and bottom hinges on both front doors are affected.

I would like to know people's experience fixing this problem.
I will probably get hold of a MIG welding machine for that job
if necessary.

Thanks ahead for sharing the way you did it, successful or not.
