I'm having the same problem described in the 960 Wagon...

If anyone knows the answers to these three questions, I'd really appreciate it:

1) How do I disassemble the console to get to the microswitch?
2) What's the part number for the thing (if I want to try to replace myself)?
2) How much SHOULD a mechanic charge to replace the thing (I don't like the idea of being able to shift out of park whenever) ?
