Clunk in driver's front when cold until it warms up 200 1989

I'd have this problem for the past two years, and I still can't seem to tackle it. When the weather is about 60 or below and I drive over any type of bump on the road, I hear a clunk coming from driver's front side.

Both struts were replaced as were both inner tie-rods. As far as I know that's the only suspension/steering work done on the car, with the exception of installing turbo sway bars with new polyurethane bushings. Once the car warms up, I don't hear the noise anymore. Perhaps a bushing is shot, as the clunk sounds a little rubberish (??). If I push down on that corner of the fender to test the strut, it checks out okay with no noise. That's why I'm thinking it only happens when the tire rides over something causing a bushing or something to bounce upwards... if that makes any sense?

Perhaps on a related note... I can also hear some noise, although not a clunk, when I press in the brake pedal initially when cold. Brakes work great, no squealing or warped rotors, etc.
