1988 760 Hub assembly question 700

Thanks to those who in my recent post (turbinesurgeon and wrbooz) that helped with suggestions on reusing the old pulse wheel off of the old hub onto the new hub. I have saved significant money from replacing the hub/bearing assembly with a AutoZone version ($105 each vs $310 each from dealer).

I have a simple question this time and it may be generic to all Volvos:
Is is OK to reuse the old hub nut and grease cap? The Haynes book seems to be pretty bold on using a NEW nut and grease cap(see page 224 of Haynes book). Is this necessary? I want my wife and kids to be safe but is this necessary?

TIA,
Jazzman
