1982 Bentley? 200

I have just received a used Bentley repair manual in the mail, but it does not cover my injection system (I think). I own a 1982 Turbo, and the manual is 83-93, Does the manual I need cover the previous decade? If so I must send this one back as it is not of much use to me right?

One other question. Mind you I own a 1982 245 Turbo, CA. car. I replaced some vacuum line. And the trap filter(I think) that exits, or enters the AIC may not be facing the right direction. It is black on one end and white on the other. I do not see any directional arrows on it. Also should I just replace it anyway? WHats the proper name?
