85 760 water on drivers floorboard 700 1985

Hello and thanks. Drivers floorboard. Closes to seat, but still in the foot well. Corner closest to console. At any given time I can reach down and squish water out of the carpet. Obviously a leak. Tasted it once, not coolant. Was under car last night and noticed a rust hole (pulled rust away and could see foam). Also surface bubbling in the same area -- obviously a leak has been present for a while; all this cancer was forward of the fuel pump and filter. Directly below the coresponding area. What is really weird is that the pool of water does not seem to correspond with rain water. I had it in the garage for over a week once and there was still moisture in this area. Has anyone experienced this as well? whats the fix?
