240 '89 wagon windshield replacement--upgrade to a 90s+???

It's an easy upgrade. I think the windshield companies get about $5 to $10 more for the "new" windshield. The only real difference is the way the chrome surround looks- the new style has no chrome. Of course, the chrome is what makes the people installign the windshield hate their job, because it's really a difficult thing to make it all go back together right.
Find any 1991 or newer 240 to see how it looks. Basically the window has a black rubber gasket bonded to it, and it all sets flush on the car instead of teh raised chrome edge all the way around. From what I understand they're a *lot* easier to install. There are no negatives unless you're committed to keeping your car original and you like the way the chrome looks. The windows are interchangeable between any year 240.
