Okay, the tabs were just grounding out on the back of the gauge cluster. Um, so, how's the weather?

To clarify, it's not happening immediately, but after a few days/weeks of use. Suddenly, *plop* it falls apart, THEN it sparks because it's dangling open. The mention of explosions is merely theatrical and only an attempt to garner the attention of would-be repliers. Thanks!

Well, not *exploding* per se, it's just that I replaced the third one after the first two literally fell apart and sparked all over (no doubt because its delicious, chewy, naked center had shorted when exposed to the metal dashboard). Did I just get an unlucky run of switches, or could this be the result of some electrical problem?
