ECT sensor Help - 740Turbo 700 1989

Hi Guys, I have a 1989 740 T (B230FT). I want to replace the ECT sensor but Gapa.com lists two models, two different part numbers & two different colour connectors.
I have tried in vain to read the numbers off the original one but cannot decipher the last 3 munbers - the important ones ! I don't really want to remove it in case I damage it as they are not readily available parts here.

Is the colour of the connectors a safe way to chose the correct part ?
Or is there a parts list based on VIN number I could reference somewhere ?
