Hey Bob(BC) 240 Lambda sond 200

Hey Bob, I am starting to get a collection of volvos in the yard and I am wondering how the old wagon without Lambda sond works and can I take that system and replace a lambda sond system that appears to have a bad brain box? The 80 244 runs okay when warmed up but the frequency valve is not buzzing. I am also hunting down some wiring issues with the radio and lights. The lambda box only has about 11 volts on it. Is that enough voltage for it to operate? I have the box out of the car right now while I tear the dash and radio out to fix somebodys mess of wiring. I really could use a better wiring diagram than whats in this chiltens. Anyway I know you done fought the 240 WARS and just wanted to let you know I am now in the trenchs and knee deep in 240 troubles. Even my little 242 is acting up after many yrs of trouble free service.... Anyway I finally got a cam and can send you a pic of my sweet 242 and little gray fuzzy cat.... So, How did they do it before Lambda sond?
