Leaking head gasket leads to leaking heater core? 700 1986

My mom's '86 740T has two disturbing problems. It's losing coolant whenever it runs. The oil consumption is also slightly up, but hey it's 16 years old and coming up on 300k miles. I am worried that the head gasket is leaking since I can't find any obvious leaks and the overflow tank smells like oil.

Now there's water in the floorboards. The driver seat and both sides in the back are consistently wet. When I drove it this weekend I smelled antifreeze. I'd be afraid of a leaking heater core, but I don't see where it's dripping. The water just appears under your feet.

Any ideas and guidance to make sure I've diagnosed properly before I take stuff apart?
