Water in trunk 700 1991

Been raining like h*ll here for the last several days, and on again off again for the last two weeks. Went to put something in the trunk and noticed wet carpet in the deep well to the left of the spare tire. Figured the leak was coming from the power antenna mounting hole. Went to place the package in the deep well to the right of the spare tire and that was wet as well. No water below the spare tire.

Last time this happened was a couple of years ago. I pressure washed the car prior to a Meguiars 1,2,3 treatment. Figured the pressure washer had forced water through the rear trunk seal. Confirmed this by tracing the water path. Have not used a pressure washer since.

No idea as to where the water is coming from. Rubber seal, which BTW is original and still very pliable, is wet on top, but no trace of water beyond the top lip of the seal. No water anyplace but the bottom of the wells. No dampness anywhere else.

Any and all comments welcome.

TIA.
