looking at a beautiful volvo...need advice

Hi, I need advice about cost of of volvo I'm looking at. She is red (a beauty). A 1992 240DL wagon with 104K. Her body is in great shape minus a very small chipped paint (like the clear coat peeled in spot), a small dent on the hood, and a missing piece (cosmetic) from the passenger side door. There is also wear on the driver seat and drivers' door on the inside, nothing particularly obvious. I had her checked out with my mechanic, who seemed to think she would need a timing belt, fuel and water pumps soon, though she just went through a complete tune-up and the CARFAX I ran looks good. There is also a 3 inch crack in the windshield, which may interfere with inspection (NY?) and cost 195 to replace. Oh, and she has leather and a CD player. SO...the asking price is 4500 and I'm wondering if that seems high or low or right on. I was ideally looking to spend 4000 on a car, and if I need to do work right away on her, I'm a little concerned. I appreciate any advice. Thanks. Elena
