Bypass oil filters...is it worth it? 200 1983

hello

I've been thinking about installing a bypass oil filter system in my brick, for the sake of keeping the oil clean, and reducing wear on the engine. I found a company that sells a kind of hybrid filter, seemingly both full flow and bypass functionality. It's appealing, if functional, because it will screw directly on where the normal filter usually goes, rather than having to build a remote bracket and route the tubing appropriately. It advertises to filter to 1/10 of a micron...which is fantastic if true. I've seen a few good things said about them. They are Trasko website is www.trasko-usa.com.
It's my understanding that typical full flow oil filters only catch in the 20-40 micron range. Engine damaging debris (over time "normal wear") occurs in the 20 micron range. A human hair is 100 microns.
I may opt for an Amsoil or Oil Guard remote bypass filter setup, they look like the real deal to keep the engine happy for 500k or so.
The Trasko is similar to the filters that use toilet paper rolls as inserts, but they claim theirs is not that type.
The answer is simple I suppose, I know the complete remote bypass type systems will be better in the long run. Plus I can choose a nice location for simple maintenance.

Any of you folks utilize this kind of technology on your bricks?
Why should or shouldn't I?
Why aren't you?

Regards,
Kevin
