Well, it's been a few weeks now, thanks again to all who offered advice on resurrecting my wrecked 240 sedan. I thought hard about it, and after I looked at the photos again I realized that the frame might indeed be bent and I might never get things lined up right, so I decided to let the car go.

If any of you parts car buyers see a black 1990 240 sedan at the Co-Parts auction near Syracuse NY, with a smashed left front corner and hood, and a blue dolphin hanging from the mirror, take a close look. It's in pretty good condition - about 400 miles on the exhaust system, 3 new brake calipers and 4 new rotors, all with less than 2000 miles, good drivetrain, well maintained. Might even be repairable, albeit with a salvage title. There was very little rust on it. (Guess I haven't completely let go ... let me know if you see her ...)

So tomorrow we close the deal on a 1993 240 wagon - our fifth Volvo. This one is from Florida, so I'm going to be looking for a seat heater kit - they don't seem to need 'em down there ... I've seen the IPD kit and earlier comments on how they last. Anybody know of any alternatives?

How about cruise control retrofit kits? I found an internet posting from 1993 (!) that says late model 240s were pre-wired for it. Is this true? Any suggestions where I might find one?
