B21F Engine

My 82 240 4SP OD with K Jetronic starting making a loud noise today. Best guess is a rod bearing is gone. It may be several days before I can get the engine out and determing the extent of the damage. At this point,if I stay with this engine I am probably looking at rebuilding the whole engine (180K). Did Volvo make a B23F engine with K Jetronic? I would like the to go with the larger engine if practical. I would like to keep this under $1,000 as I will be doing all the work.
