Is the 960 a good car to buy?

I mostly agree with cdu. It really depends on how much you can afford to put into it. It's a very luxorious interior and a nice firm ride, and yes the acceleration is good (although really hindered by the auto tranny). However expensive things break, watch out for the cooling system, esp radiator. The computer seems to break more than on most cars. Also the electric seats are trouble (don't know if more than usual for electric seats).

On the whole it's more expensive to maintain over a long time than most cars, but things are fixable, just maybe not DIY (newfangled engineering :p). 112k is a critical point tho on that car tho, around 100k a lot of stuff breaks, it's a matter of what's already broken.
