valve noise? (and quick update on car) 200

How much noise shoild the valves be making? They seem to "click" a great deal. BTW the laudry list of repairs went great, electric fan is cooling quietly, floorboards are sealed, starter is starting, motor is mounted, and the roof rack is missing. The rust went smooth, the motor mounts were a bit rough w/o a bench vice and the PO or somebody had the starter bolts on with like a million lbs of pressure.
