Sagging Back End...... 1986

yup, been there. For me, it was just about everything. I first replaced my springs with ones from a wagon that some guy was giving away on the board because he had overload springs. It was quite an amazing difference just in that. raised the car up about 1.5 inches. Also, you don't need a spring compressor for the rear ones, just be careful and do a bit of bending and such. I took them both on and off twice now without a compressor. the fronts are a different story...anyways, back to this. I also replaced the bushings and shocks. The bushings that cause the rear end to sag are the rear trailing arm bushings. The other bushings don't causes sag, just clunks and such. Search for that in the archives...you can make a tool or rent one on the board probably. i made one. For the brand of shocks to use, I put KYB GR-2 gas shocks on the back- 21 bucks apiece from FCPgronon.com. They aren't a "sporty" ride, but they're pretty nice gas shocks for a super cheap price. of course, for 10 bucks more per, you can get the KYB gas-a-just, a better shock, then you get into boge turbo gas and such. Your choice, shox.com is pretty good with prices, and fcpgroton is really good too. hope this helps
