Just keep in mind that Shocks do not support the car in any way. They just keep it from bouncing. If you let the axle 'hang, there is no need to compress the spring.

For me, It was the Trailing arm bushings. I replaced the springs with the Overload springs and it bought me up about 3/4 of and inch. But I think they do that by design. The bushings are what put me back to my original height.
