Is the 960 a good car to buy?

I agree with all that previous posters have said, plus the following:

The 1995 year saw some problems with the alloy used in casting the block. In some cars this resulted in the block being porous, and over time oil and coolant would migrate through the block into places where they shouldn't be. The good news is that if this car is in good shape at 112,000mi then it probably isn't affected by this problem. Go over the engine with a fine toothed comb and scrutinize any weeping, condensation, dripping, or leaks. As far as I know this is no fix for a porous block.

Also make sure that you get a transmission cooler installed if it doesn't have one, use Volvo/Mann oil filters & the synthetic lubes of your choice, and replace that timing belt 5000mi early, every time. And before you buy, read the FAQ (go to the top of the page, click on "-FEATURES-", and choose "700/900 FAQ". It will tell you all the things you need to look out for. Good luck!
