How to unclamp a gas line connection behind differential? 700

On my 760, when filling with gas, on a slight incline, gas comes out of a cracked hose that attaches to a connection behind the differential which is right up against the body. From underneath the car, I can see the cracked hose where it is clamped on to a connection, but I cannot get my arm past the diff and gas tank to reach it. When I uncover the small panel in the trunk, I can reach 12 inches to the right and touch the connection, but cannot see it. Also the clamp looks like it was tightened with a screwdriver that could only be coming through the bodywork. So my question is how to access the clamp with a screwdriver to loosen it. Do I need to cut a new access hole in the trunk? And if I do, how do I cut it without creating sparks?
