Smart decision. BTW..more on bent valves 200 1982

Sounds like a smart decision, safety is always primo concern. Simple job for the mech, shouldn't cost too much.

We have a '91 Toyota Celica w/ many miles that's gonna need a t-belt--do you have any exp. w/such a vehicle? I have same question as you....this thing has a 1.6L 16 VALVE 4 cyl. and I've heard from >1 source it's a non-interference design.

Find that hard to believe w/ all that machinery in there. '83 Volvo is high tech to me.

No answer to question in Haynes book or toyota manual, only "change it at 60k mi." Haynes is at least right about B 21 and B 23 Volvo engines.
