960 radio in 700?

It would certainly fit but you might need the 960 frame for the ashtray and lighter and so on if it is too big to go in the 740 radio tray. Wiring should not pose a problem, just remember that most 740 have amps and stuff which you do not need. Rip that out and put in new cables from each speaker, unless even the later Volvo headunits relied on amps. Anyway, wiring will not be a matter of plug and play but no more difficult that installing a non-Volvo headunit.
