thanks and can ya help some more?

First off thanks to all who post, for 2 years now I've been lurking and have kept the wife's 86 245 running fine with your help. So far I have done just great just reading answers to my questions that others where asking. Now the unasked ones. I have with your help diagnosed my intermitant stalling eratic idle etc. etc. as the air control motor not working, went to FAQ learned how to clean it... still not working.. checked and cleaned conections... still nothing... stuck it on another 245.. works great.. check for voltage at conector.. nothing, the wiring is in fair shape not great but should go another year, is there a relay or fuse I can check before i tackle a rewire? i can not find anything anywhere about where the other end of these wires go, and don't want to anger the coroded wire gods by disturbing them anymore than I have to. Finally after working on this for a week with no luck why would I go out today and buy another one just like it??? makes no sense to me!
