Thanks for the response. The 700/900 FAQ sort of confused things with the reverse location of the hoses. The continuing problem is the air is not hot in the vents from the heater. So I guess next step is new thermostat control valve for the heater.

This all started with a bad thermostat in the head and cutting in of the secondary electric fan. Then two days later the heater control valve broke and so it continues.
