Wheel Paint

Thanks, guys!!!! Naturally I have followup questions:

The patients are the Omega (20 short spokes) wheels found on the 1990 760. My original intention was just to try to clean up some worn areas around the edges of the rims but I've also noticed some areas within the "spokes" that could use some help as well. So I guess at this point I might as well shoot the entire wheel. Is the original wheel paint an acrylic lacquer with a lacquer clear coat? Any problem with spraying two-pack enamel or base/clear over the original paint after it's roughed up a bit? I do have spray equipment, and the necessary breathing equipment to keep those nasty isocyanates and me in two separate locations. Thanks again!!
