New non-sealed beam lights available.

I too was looking for a way to get better light than the sealed beams without dropping 60 or more per lamp. (This was for an '83 with quad 4x6.5)

I ended up getting the stanleys that daniel stern offers on his site at $25/ea. for my hi/lo and initially keeping the sealed beam hi. That gave an improvement over the xtravision sylvanias. I have the standard bulbs in the H4's.
Last weekend I finished my wiring/relay project and noticed more improvement.
The next step for me could be replacing the Hi lamps (although I don't use them all that often) or going to higher wattage bulbs in the H4 now that I have the wiring to allow it.

I'm no lighting expert, but personally I stay away from anything that says "blue".
