I'm back, with a Volvo!

B200E....... Is that an interference design? I think it might be.

If so, get the service records for your new car from the previous owner and certifiy that the timing belt is within spec -- in other words, that it has been changed within the last 50k miles. It may have been done at the recommended 50k and 100k intervals.

If the belt breaks in your engine, the repairs are much more costly than in our B230F engines in North America. For us, a new belt solves the problem. For you, a new cylinder head solves the problem (well, not quite, but almost).

By the way, you stole that car. I wonder why the PO sold it? Wouldn't a wagon have been better for a dog fancier?
