Ralley 242 front suspension...it works great!!! 200 1978

A while back I was asking for a method of lifting the front end of my 242 2 - 4 inches..

A BB'r replied that he had built a ralley 242 and installed the front coild from a diesel 240 series.

Well - I finally found a set of coildfrom a diesel - and this past weekend the coils and a set of KYB strut cartridges went in.

Wow!! not only does the front sit level with the rear (the rear is sporting 245 rear springs-stiffer, and a 3-inch block lift kit),

But the handling is superb.

Mind you- the left front strut cartridge was completely KAPUT!! so the ride before was akin to a dory wallowing through high seas - every road bump caused the front to lurch sort of cock-eyed. I had my sea legs - but many a passenger only asked for a ride "once."

Thank You Brickboarders - once again...
