ECUs are interchangeable--a gamble pays off

I think that there was a thread on this before. I guess that the EGR system operates on it's own outside of being totally tied into every part of the computer. What I mean is that the car will run just fine, but with a totally nonfunctional EGR system. Which isn't a big deal unless you're barely scraping past the emissions station in the first place. Apparently it won't show a check engine light either.
