Bulb replacement - 960 ECC control

It looks like your control unit's slightly different than mine...mine had the bulbs on top. Yes, there are only two bulbs. If you look closely, the center knob will not be completely and evenly lit. It also sounds like you may not need a new bulb after all. Same thing happened in my car. The light would come back on if I smacked it a couple times, so I took the bulb out yelled at it and it worked! If you have any more questions, I'll gladly yank the ECC unit out of my '95 960 and take pictures/whatever. But like you said, the 960 trim makes that a fairly unpleasant job.
