child safety lock on tailgate...Does it exist on a '93 240? 200 1993

Hey yall, my friend just got his tailgate replaced and the door will not open from the inside. Now, I searched alllll over for the child safety lock, and I could not find that stupid little thing anywhere. Does anyone know where it is? Heh, my 84 wagon has it so I am pretty sure that his 240 CLASSIC does. But I donnnnnnt know.
